For this week’s classmate conversation I talked to Yesenia, a child development major here at California State University Long Beach. After she graduates she hopes to do something along the lines of counseling or administration. We then talked about how we both work at schools. She works at a high school in South Gate. I told her that I recently switched to the film major, and she said she really liked film and that she took a class in high school where she got to make short movies. We also talked about soccer, and we even played the same positions. Though Yesenia played all of high school, and I stopped in middle school. Yesenia has a one year old son that she loves more than anything, Oziel. She’s says it the hardest thing she has ever had to do, but the most rewarding by far. She said having a son flips your whole world upside down, you are suddenly responsible for an entire life. But she loves him more than anything, and I even got to see a video of him.
